Hosting the Way Forward for Facilitas
Facilitas Group Ltd, one of the UK's leading property services organisations,
has chosen BT Lynx to provide an outsourced IT service which is
to include a Service Desk, hosting of applications and on site support.
BT Lynx fought off tough competition to win a 3 year contract worth
£228,000.
Facilitas Group Ltd is a modern dynamic business who specialise in property
services and maintenance. Facilitas Group Ltd was started in 2006 and
through a rapid expansion plan currently is on target to turn over in
excess of £30m in 2007.
Martin Carpenter, IT Manager at Facilitas, "Our business has ambitious
growth plans, which our internal IT department could not match the demands
of. We made a decision to outsource and started looking for a service
provider who could offer the level of expertise, response and flexibility
we required."
The project will be split into a number of phases starting with the outsourced
hosting of Active Directory and Exchange. Future phases to follow shortly
afterwards will be the hosting of a new Accounting application, MOSS to
deliver collaborative working, a CRM application and potentially Project
Server.
Carpenter continues, "We chose BT Lynx to deliver the solution
because we felt they best matched our requirements. We wanted a proven
service provider with the appropriate skills levels. BT Lynx were able to
prove their expertise through both their vendor accreditations and a number
of customer references that were taken up. We were also impressed with
the speed with which Lynx reacted to our initial enquiry. Within a week
of making that enquiry BT Lynx had proposed a solution that, with just a
few adjustments, met our needs perfectly."
