BT Lynx wins Yorkshire Building Society desktop deployment

BT Lynx has won a deal to deliver a 2800 user desktop deployment project for Yorkshire Building Society (YBS). The opportunity was introduced to BT Lynx through their partner relationship with Microsoft Large Account Reseller, Trustmarque Solutions based in York. The successful collaborative sale came after a 6 month engagement from initial meeting to close of deal. YBS were looking for an experienced Microsoft Desktop Deployment partner that they could trust to deliver on time and a licensing partner to guide them through the process of signing a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement.

BT Lynx will work closely with the Yorkshire Building Society IT department to deploy a new Windows XP and Microsoft Office desktop build to the YBS estate at their head office in Bradford and 180 YBS branches. The project will be delivered over a 6 month period utilising the Microsoft Deployment framework which incorporates Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007. Configuration Manager will deploy the build in "silent unattended and remote zero touch mode" and will become the application delivery mechanism going forward. Microsoft's System Center tools enable IT departments to gain control over their IT systems allowing YBS to be operationally more efficient once the project is completed.

This deal provides further evidence of the high level of esteem that BT Lynx holds within the Microsoft consultancy arena.
